It’s with heavy hearts we regret to share the passing of K9 Jill. K9 Jill, a 5-year-old Springer Spaniel, served both Northern and Southern Commands as a narcotics detection canine. Her presence was a joy to anyone that met her, especially to the elementary school students she loved to visit. Last night, she was rushed to the veterinary hospital after suffering a medical emergency. Despite best efforts, K9 Jill succumbed to her illness. The Nevada Highway Patrol will not be the same without her running up and down the halls in search of belly rubs. Thank you for your service to the great state of Nevada, K9 Jill.
